U.S. interventionist foreign policy has not been beneficial: the American people have burdened our children with a massive war debt, and it is our children who will be the recipients of the blowback that ensues from our acts of propping up violent regimes abroad today. Let’s not bring additional wanton violence upon the people of Syria. We should learn from our mistakes of the past, rather than further them. It is time that we start being responsible citizens for the sake of the children of the United States.
